hey im Bec. Im a 16 year old photographer from Australia, who is new to this whole experience of taking pictures with meaning. I love taking nature and landscape photos along with simple objects, and making a meaning out of them. I enjoy the challenge of taking pictures of everyday things and places and photographing them in a way that no one else sees through there eyes. I have just started this Blog but am hoping i can share a lot of my photographic experience through it c: http://mylifethroughpictur3s.tumblr.com/
I am Priya, a 22 year young girl from India. I started taking pictures with my sister’s point and shoot camera in high school. Since then, I’ve had a wonderful experience exploring different places and getting to know some amazing people. I am passionate about traveling and learning about the world.
Currently, I use a Canon 550D with 18-55mm or 50mm f/1.8 II prime lens and sometimes, an iPhone to make photographs. I have only recently gotten involved in creating portraits.
Hello, I am Sarah.
My interest in movement within the frame to capture some kind of aura from the subject has grown and something I am wanting to explore more and more. I wanted to create an inclusion of movement from what would ultimately be an ordinary object to resemble impressionist / expressionist paintings. Giving off an aura of the object through movement rather than a flat dead pan portrait of the object. I set this up on a black back drop, using continual lighting, two soft boxes either side of the flower and one directional light on the front to show up more detail in the flower. There was a balance to gain enough detail so not to loose the form of the flowers yet create enough movement for the impressionist feel. I found the shutter speed to work best between 3 and 5 seconds, depending on how much I spun the flower. In photoshop I removed the stalk at the top and rounded it off. There is no other photoshop work, all the movement was captured in camera.
I worked on a series of these flowers in colour however a lot of my work is black and white, looking at focus, movement and time within the frame.
I’m Sefa Sungur. I photograph everything around me. It is because I want to make films in the near future, so I think it is important to know how to make pictures, how to make them like I want them to be. I’m studying Film and Television at Istanbul Bilgi University. I was born in Vienna, Austria.
I love photography. It’s because you don’t manipulate time with it like in cinema, and there is no sound so you don’t manipulate sound either. It is just the reflection of the moment. I’m not good at writing. I don’t want to embarrass myself anymore.
My name is Allison Siclare and I would call myself a young clueless photographer. Even though I went to art school for photography, I am still learning and will always will. My biggest hobby is traveling and I fall in love instantly with the places I visit. Most of my work are from where I have been and the other photos are things I like to dabble and play around with. I usually shoot in digital, but when I can get my hands on a dark room, I will pull out my 35mm or 4x5 large format.
